Arnold Witch Project

Having decided to move out of base camp, we went looking for a new home, only to find ourselves in the Blaire Witch Project. Guess what we didn't move in here!

Don't borrow your boss's car

To find the new house we needed a vehicle as remember NO-ONE walks in the US! However whilst turning left at a junctions the streering broke and I had to free-wheel across the road. Bit arkward telling your new boss you've broken their car! This is Claire, Mike, me and Andy having NO idea what to do!

We are currently closed in the week so took the opportunity to have ago at another snow related sport - tricky than it looks!

SF Cable Cars

SF if famous for it's Cable Car system, and great to deal with all the steep hills. I had to go to the Cable Car Museum just to see how they work.

Shame the weather was so bad for our visit to the Golden Gate bridge, but we still had to see it, by car rather than by bike!

It was just starting to go dark as we got on the last boat back to SF.

Claire couldn't see why the prisoners hated staying in this place so much, as the view back the SF was so nice!

The prison was grim and depressing, even more so as it has been empty for 40 years. The Escape from Alcatraz crew escaped from cells on this corridor

San Francisco at last!

Finally I have reached the end of the road trip and picked Claire up at the Airport. Next day we headed off to see the sights, first was the famous wiggly road made famous in loads of films including Herbie!

Illegal Photo

This is the Lone Cypress, which is a trademark (or something like that) so that all photos, images etc cannot be used for without the Pebble beach consent, yer right, how can you trade mark a bloody view! It's been here for years and is now held up by wires and concrete, but is still growing strong, a bit like a tree zimmer frame.

This drive around the coast from Pacific Grove to Carmel is right on the waters edge. This is Reckless Water, I wonder why?????/
