My new toy

Puerto Portals was are haunt at night - the restaurants, shops and boats were amazing.

Paradise

The Hotel was lovely and we spent a lot of time making use of all the facilities - Sandy the WiFi, Sally the sun-loungers, me any water, they had an indoor and out door pool so once it had got late I could go in there! and the beach was small and right next door. On the beach was a great little bar restaurant, where we became quite the locals. One day we watched a group of elderly Spanish ladies "doing" lunch and wondered if we would be like that in the future - I hope so! this was also where Sandy experienced Mateau Rose - bless I think she thought it was a local speciality - mind you it does go down very easily as Sally and I proved.

Mallorca - a fond farewell

As a last blast Sal & Sandy agreed to go with me to the sun for a long weekend. We had a great time, probably the most relaxing trip I have ever had, as all we did all day was lie on sun loungers and swim - I even made it into the sea. Top trip, had a wnderful time.

The A Team!

This shows what a top holiday we all had in Mallorca!

Watergate Bay

On the way back I took them along the coast and we stopped to look at the great view. Surf was up and the sea was full on "dudes"

From the Rain Forest.....

Intrepid Explorers

Mum was taking shade under the palm!

How mad are these!

Unusual Flowers

You could go mad in here taking pictures of plants - I just tried to go for the really weird ones. I like this one as the steam has made it look even better!

Another day in Eden

Sunday was Eden day. Was glad mum suggested it as I had wanted to go - but was not going to be a saddo and go on my own - although I now have annual membership so i can pop back if I am missing the plants! It was a good day - but note to self - take bikini for rainforest dome, bloody hell it was hot as you got to the top! Resulting pictures are in soft focus due to the lens steaming up!

Visitors Number 3

I eventually got mum and Auntie Margaret to Cornwall - mind you it did take them 8.5 hours to get here, as they decided not to go through Exeter, but not sure where they did get to, and ended up having to ask at a police station, Jet garage and estate agents before they turned up! Mind you, they made up for the journey by sampling the local ale

It's the wind making my hair mad!

But then on Sunday things got a little bit quieter and the girls came to Tintagel to check out the wild party scene. Wendy was a BIG hit in the Tea Rooms - we'll be going back there!

Second Visitors

Still in the spirit of enjoying myself, Wendy was down here for work so we hooked up on Saturday to sample to delights aof a quiet little fishing village on teh cornish coast called Newquay - they are not kidding, it was like being in Ibiza, and it's only May. Had a great night and met some great people - Kay being one of them. Stayed in a great house right on Porth beach, stunning views and great weather!

This is the life!

Well Jenny had to have a relax after a tough season - and my excuse, well it's no fun celebrating on your own!
