One way to keep warm after the snow was to drink a lot of wine, which Sal and me successfully managed on Friday night! Joined here by Sandy & Mary, but not for long as they abandoned us to public transport as they swan-ed off in the Porshe! Mind you that meant we could have a sneaky extra one in the Alma!

It's stickin'

We've got more inches than them!

For the first time they got it right. It started at 3am and still hasn't stopped. Everywhere looks great and all the schools must be closed as I have just been involved in a massive snowball fight in the middle of the road. The kids are constructing a massive snowball which hopefully will not block the end of the road. But the best news is I didn't have to drive to Sheffield - result. Global Warming - I love it!

The moon's a balloon

Not quite a rare sight as the comet (see my brothers blog) but I was quite impressed with this taken with my new toy! OK it was the best of a about 20 shots - but I had fun playing around with all the settings. I have now decided I need to get a proper tripod.
